The Honors Program offers talented students to distinguish themselves through the development of critical thinking skills and research experience. It is highly recommended that students start in the Honors Program their freshmen year, but later admission can be discussed with the CALS Academic Affairs Office in Room 116 Agricultural Hall (608-262-3003, firstname.lastname@example.org)
The Department of Horticulture offers students the opportunity to earn Honors in the Major or in Research. To earn Honors in the Major, students are required to take at least 20 honors credits and they must take Horticulture 289, 681 and 682 when completing their thesis project. Please see the Honors in Major Checklist for Horticulture for more information.
The Department of Horticulture also supports students through the Honors in Research program.
